Hannah Puttre

Hannah is a doctoral student in the Applied Human Development PhD program. Her research interests broadly focus on informal learning and how to capitalize on everyday learning opportunities and children’s inherent curiosities, as well as the practical applications of these types of research.

 
 
 
 
 

Adine Deleon

Adine is a doctoral student in the Applied Human Development program. Broadly, she is interested in studying how children develop concepts of religion and science across cultures. She is also specifically interested in studying how Latino families talk about supernatural entities and their capabilities, as well as how Latino parents explain scientific outcomes to their children.

 

Nina Ye

Doctoral Student

Nina is a doctoral student in the Applied Human Development Program. Her research interest lies in children’s social-cognitive development, especially in how they decide whom to trust and learn from. She is also interested in how children understand and perceive intentions underlying the behavior of others. She loves cats, a good cup of coffee, and her favourite movie of all time is Shawshank Redemption.

 

Jingyi Xu

Doctoral Student

Jingyi is a doctoral student in the Applied Human Development Program. She was born in China, and later studied and graduated from Boston College with a B.A. in Applied Psychology & Human Development and Economics. Then, she completed her master’s degree in Human Development & Education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education and worked as a research assistant in the Next Level Lab led by Dr. Grotzer. She is fascinated by the notion of culture and its interplay with cognitive development, and in studying children’s religious development. She is looking forward to working with everyone on the team at the SLL!
